Great performance
OMV Kronos Citroen World Rally Teamchef Marc van Dalen also sees some positive sides to the sixth run to the FIA World Rally Championship: “The team and the drivers did a really great job. They have worked professionally and made no mistakes. We are somewhat behind since the Citroen Xsara WRC can’t fully compete performance-wise. We will obviously do our all to change this. “
Loeb the Invincible
Sebastien Loeb obviously can’t be bothered whether a rally lasts two or three days. The French triple World Champion dominated in Argentina as well and celebrated the third victory in South America, the fourth this season and his 32nd overall. Marcus Grönholm had to be content with second place and Mikko Hirvonen as third-placed reached once more the by now familiar podium. Petter Solberg (Nor/Subaru Impreza WRC) had bad luck – on the way to the podium he dropped out on special stage 17 due to engine failure.
