Finishing the Safari rally has inspired 22-year-old Limuru-based driver, Quentin Mitchell, to focus on edging closer to a podium finish in the remaining five rounds of the Kenya National Rally Championship.
The Pirelli award is aimed at getting the best African young drivers to compete with the best at the FIA premier event, the World Rally Championship.
“I have been watching the Safari Rally since when I was a kid. But never before had I imagined that I could be one of the drivers.
“However, finishing this tough competition has given me hope of clinching the Pirelli title next year,” said Mitchell.
