Message: “The first few years I ran Nashville, the track was really slick. But they ground on it and built some grip into the track, where we can race well with each other. ” NASCAR’s Sprint Cup tour may be idle this week, one of that series’ few respites during its 10-month season. But the Saturday racers – NASCAR’s Nationwide guys – will be in action at Nashville Speedway; and that includes a number of top Cup stars. Still, with Kyle Busch, the Sprint Cup tour leader, in the field, the sport does have something to sell. Carl Edwards, David Reutimann, Clint Bowyer and David Ragan are also among the 45 drivers entered for the 43-car field. Busch would have a legitimate shot at becoming NASCAR’s first triple champion, with the Cup, Nationwide and Truck titles. But he’s decided not to run the full Truck schedule; and his Nationwide schedule is still up for debate. “It’s time to change our luck, and get back to the front when it counts”- Busch. “We’re still up there in the points, but if it weren’t for bad luck the last three races, we would be leading the series. ” “The first few years I ran Nashville, the track was really slick. But they ground on it and built some grip into the track, where we can race well with each other. ” Busch’s season, his first with Gibbs after leaving Rick Hendrick’s, has been outstanding. He’s laid claim to being the best pure driver on the tour, and his flat-out style is dramatic. “But so far everything has been great; it’s worked out beyond my wildest imagination. “I’m proud of how the transition has gone. ” http://www.autoracingdaily.com/18636/
